Rippleway Reviews

Dorothy
We had a lovely few days at Rippleway helped by wonderful weather. Accommodation was excellent. The only thing we were sad about was that the garden furniture which looked so attractive in the photographs was still in storage. We would have loved to have been able to sit outside in the sunshine.
Excellent location with loads of good walks from the door. Well equipped, we didnt want for anything. Any issues were quickly resolved. Comfortable beds, huge towels, lovely light kitchen diner and cozy lounge. We walked to Dunwich and back, walked to Southwold and back, great ferry trip, fish market and restaurants over the Blythe on the way, Sutton Hoo 50 minute drive, walk around Dunwich Heath and Minsmere 20 minute drive. Excellent holiday enjoyed by all.
Facilities good. A welcome pack would have been useful.
Bridget
This is the second time we have stayed at RIppleway and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The only minor issue was the loose light fitting in the bathroom upstairs. A decent dustpan & brush would be useful. We would definitely consider returning as lovely quiet location in a beautiful village.
We recently returned for our second stay at Rippleway and overall had a very enjoyable and relaxing time. The property remains a great choice, with plenty of positives that make it a strong holiday rental, though there are a few areas where some improvements could really elevate the experience. Positives The house is exceptionally clean and thoughtfully laid out, making it feel welcoming and easy to settle into. The kitchen is very wellequipped with everything you need, and both the indoor dining area and outdoor seating options are great for meals and socialising. The garden is beautiful and wellmaintainedperfect for dogs and children alike. The location is ideal close to the beach, pub, and local shops, and wonderfully peaceful during evenings and weekends. The showers are powerful and work well, though they may feel a bit tight for those with a larger frame. Its really convenient to have a dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer, and there are ample cleaning products provided, which is a thoughtful touch. Areas for Improvement The absence of a welcome basket or even basic supplies like tea, coffee, or milk on arrival was a bit of a letdown. The lounge seating is limited and doesnt comfortably accommodate 8 people. Only 5 people can sit down on a seat. Reconfiguring the spaceperhaps mounting the TV above the fireplacecould free up room for more generous seating. The oven is quite noisy and would benefit from a service to address the door and seal issues. The summerhouse has potential to be a lovely space but currently feels a bit neglected. Replacing the plastic furniture with something more inviting, adding fairy lights and a table, could transform it. Reclining chairs or sun loungers would be a great additionwe brought our own this time. Theres no BBQ, which was missed. Even a gas option available at an extra cost would be a welcome feature. A general refresh of the propertysome redecorating and investment in newer furniturewould really take Rippleway from very good to exceptional. Overall Rippleway continues to be a solid and enjoyable place to stay, especially for dog owners and families looking for a coastal break. With a few updates and thoughtful additions, it could easily become a standout holiday home. Wed be happy to return again and hope to see some of these improvements made for future visits.
We had a wonderful stay at Rippleway in Walberswick. It is a beautiful house with everything you could want. Its perfectly situated in a quiet little road with parking but so close to the beach, tea rooms and pubs. The kitchen is the heart of the house and was perfect for socialising. Our party of eight people were all very happy and enjoyed our trip. Thank you so much.
Very well equipped kitchen iPod dock speaker was not compatible with any of our phones Android or iPhone as the connection was too old. property was surface clean but needed a deep clean, skirting boards, corners were dirty etc . Carpets getting grubby and would benefit from a vax lovely table in the garden, a real aun trap. It would have nice to have had some cushions for the chairs Overall a very spacious property for a family stay.
Richard
A lovely property, very clean. Recommended for a family. One small criticism ....... no welcome pack on arrival meant that the grandchildren had to nip off sharpish to the local shop before it shut. In the past we have had a few essentials provided on arrival.....tea, coffee, milk, bread etc. but not on this occasion, unfortunately.
Susanna
Very spacious and well equipped, was the perfect spot for a family holiday.
Alison
Two of the towels were grubby. As my family did not take all of the rooms we were able to take other towels from the spare room.
Carolyn
Lovely place to stay. And ideally situated for the beach and nearby pubs.
Phoebe
Overall the house is lovely. However there were lots of areas covered in dust, bugs and lots of spider webs. It hasnt been deep cleaned for a long time. All the standard cleaning was done such as floors and the counters ect. Bed sheets and towels were lovely, pillows on the beds are very old and need replacing. The bathrooms were in good shape and very clean. The sky light in the kitchen was particularly dirty with bugs and spider webs. The kitchen was very well stocked but there were no cleaning products or bin bags or soap in the bathrooms. We had four dishwasher tablets for our stay. If this isnt to be provided in the house whilst asking guests to maintain the cleanliness of a home, especially one that hosts a lot of people, guests need to be informed at the time of booking or in the confirmation to bring their own household cleaning products. The garden was very well kept and pretty of a great size. The living areas were all up to date with TVs and devises required to accommodate. The village is charming and well worth the visit. We very much enjoyed our stay however these notes on the cleanliness I hope will assist to improve the quality of your service.
Property was nice but it felt very well used a bit tired and dated in places.
Clean and well equipped house ideal for family holiday. Short walk to beach.
Fabulous house, great location, beautifully equipped. Comfortable, lovely kitchen, large wrap around garden, very private, good parking.
Alison
The house is lovely and the garden is wonderful and so safe. My granddaughter absolutely loved being able to toddle around the garden. I did find cleanliness a bit of an issue as it looked as though some of the rooms did not appear to have been hoovered and the stairs hadn't either. Either that or a new hoover is needed. The outside patio could have done with a good sweep as well if I had found a brush I would have done it. Other than that and the cleaner forgetting to leave the key for when I arrived so I couldn't get in, we had a wonderful time. I think a small welcome pack would be a good idea.
Elaine
Ideally situated on a private road, handy for pubs, tea shed and ferry to Southwold harbour. Easy walk for children to beach and crabbing off bridges. Plenty of space in property for 8 people.
Frederick
The whole family travelled to Rippleway to celebrate my wife's 80th birthday. It is an ideal property in a lovely location. We tripped out for walks to places such as Southwold via the quaint hand rowed ferry and eat seafood along the way. We used the local pub the Anchor on 2 occasions and found the food excellent on both trips, if a little expensive. The property suited us very well and there were only one or two slight negatives 1 The bedroom curtains should be blackout types as the morning light woke us quite early. Especially those in the bedroom with the ensuite. 2 we were unlucky to have had an attack by ants in the kitchen. Too late for owners to remedy. Overall a very pleasant experience
We are four adults and four children three generations. We had a really lovely time. We know Walberswick well but being able to stay there, in such a lovely house and garden was really special. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. Even the fridge was more than big enough which is the first time ever! A short stroll to the centre of the village and the beach and the weather was amazing, even in April!? Thank you very much
Rippleway was a perfect stay for the 8 of us. Nice and close to pubs , deli & beach. A welcome pack would of been nice maybe surprised not to of had anything left? Think it would be appreciated and go down well with guests. However, we throughly enjoyed the property and our time in lovely Walberswick thankyou.
