Roof Tree Reviews

Charlie
Great location in a lovely village
Laura
Lovely character house, perfectly located in the village. Close to the beach and walking distance to both pubs.
Tina
We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Roof Tree, a perfect house for a family holiday.
Susanna
Stylish house in a great location with a south facing garden
Philippa
Lovely big house, both child and pet friendly. Close to all amenities in beautiful Walberswick.
Rosalynn
A brilliant location between the beach and the deli. Very spacious and good for the three couples who shared it. Parking was also good as we managed to park a mini and a small motorhome on the drive.
Tania
Roof Tree is beautiful house in a perfect location. Very close to the sea, the ferry, the pubs, the coop and an excellent deli. Easy access to Southwold and Minsmere bird reserve. However, the crockery and cutlery needed a clean and there were spider webs. The boiler broke down during our stay but was promptly fixed. A well equipped kitchen but bring your own loo rolls, shower gel/shampoo, oven gloves, tea towels, measuring jug, tea pot. Towels are provided. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. We have spoken to the owner and the issue has now been resolved.
Matthew
Lovely house and great location. Unfortunately the garden furniture was so filthy and mildewy that it was unusable. There was no lower stairgate despite showing on the pictures. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. We have spoken to the owner and the issue has now been resolved.
Ann
A fantastic location in Walberswick. The house is well equipped and has a fantastic family room with the large kitchen/dinner at the back of the house.
Sue
Roof Tree was just the best 'holiday house' in every respect for our three generation family holiday. The location for walking, time on the beach and in the sea, catching the ferry, nipping out for the best coffee at The Black Dog Deli and crabbing was perfect. The trip up to the top of the lighthouse in Southwold was so worthwhile with a guide whose local knowledge was amazing, and Le Roc (just across the river Blyth by ferry) is well worth a visit for great food.
Rosemary
My family and I were extremely happy with the space that the house offered and the location. However, I think the little things let the house down and some attention needs to be given to ensuring that the overall experience is a good one.
Paul
Fabulous property in a fantastic location - highly recommend.
Gemma
We enjoyed our stay at Roof Tree. The location in the village is great with beach, shops, both local pubs and Black Dog Deli (highly recommend for delicious sub rolls and other fresh goodies!!) in walking distance. The house is spacious especially kitchen / diner, however some of the furniture could do with updating and the house would benefit from a deep clean for this price bracket. However the beds were very comfy and the surroundings and garden are quiet and peaceful. Also recommend Flora Tea Rooms at Dunwich for breakfast and a lovely dog walk. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. We have spoken to the owner and the issue has now been resolved.
Mary
We would like to come back again every year until the end of time! Wonderful location, great space, fantastic location and beautiful village. Hosts kept us informed and the house was a great base for my family to get together and celebrate a birthday. Highly recommend!
Darren
Amazing kitchen and the perfect social space, great location in a beautiful village. Overall a great comfortable stay.
Ian
Property would have been ideal if not for the intrusive noise from the building work ongoing in the adjoining semi detached property. Very extensive work with total rework. I think you as the letting agent should have been aware of this. At this time I would not recommend this property
Tessa
House well located for beach and the excellent Anchor pub. Liked the scandi vibe and the comfy beds. Garden safe for children and dogs. Kitchen equipment and outdoor furniture needs updating/augmenting. But we had a wonderful happy family holiday ️
Jeanne
Lovely big rooms for a family and sunny position local to all the fantastic amenities in Walberswick
Wendy
An excellent holiday stay property. My family and I were comfortable, warm and relaxed. The layout and facilities allowed for a very comfortable stay. Its position within the village is excellent too - and the garden a bonus.
Romany
Rooftree is in a fab location, couldn't have wished to be anywhere better. The property is perfect for those bringing a couple of dogs, as it was great for the garden (we did clear up after the dogs), and the wooden floors were ideal.
