The Saltings Reviews

Jonathan
Only small comment is oven gloves are either very hidden away or not there.
Tim
Excellent stay at fantastic location. Games room a real bonus and sanctuary.
Peter
It suited all our needs in a great location both for the beach and the town.
Michele
We had a really enjoyable stay. Loved the spacious living area which opens up to the sun terrace. Light and airy throughout; beautifully and thoughtfully furnished. We slept very well as very quiet. Views of open countryside from the back rooms ( first floor bedrooms) were delightful, especially as the sun rose in the mornings; the terrace is a great sun trap in the afternoons. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans etc if eating in. Location superb-beach steps away, delightful town with shops, public houses and eateries extremely accessible as was the walk and ferry to Walberswick. So much to see and do nearby that it was easy to lock the car ( we managed parking for three cars on the front drive, by the way) and put the keys away and relax. Would thoroughly recommend.
Stewart
WOW!! What a stunning accommodation, Did Carlsberg Build this? We have watched this site being built and this year we had the pleasure of booking it to celebrate my 60th Bday. The perfect spot to base a week in Southwold for 4 couples. The Open-plan communal room was the focus for us with well spec'd bedrooms & Bathrooms. The weather played ball so the use of the patio to watch the sunsets enjoyed. The location is only minutes from the beach and 5 [10 for me as I am now 60] mons from the town. Great for a large family or just a group of friends to enjoy a fad town [But don't tell anyone!]
Carmel
The house was fabulous, very close to the beach and a short walk into the centre of Southwold. We all enjoyed a fantastic week.
Rachel
Lovely place to stay, ideal location close to the town and 1 minute walk to the beach. This was our second stay and we're already looking at booking again for next year. Would highly recommend!
Vanessa
This house is very tasteful and a perfect design for a family wanting to spend time together with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The location is perfect right near the beach and easy walking distance from the town. The games room was also enjoyed and a quiet room to watch tv.
Pamela
Great house in a lovely location. We'd like to come again...
Norman
We very much enjoyed our stay at The Saltings. The property was excellent. Downside? We were all sad to go home!
Michael
Great property .Difficult parking
Andrew
The cottage was beautiful and would suit many families.
Cliff
An excellent property with a wealth of facilities and comfort. We stayed for a winter break and, even though the weather was cold, we were warm with good background heating. The location is close to the beach for bracing walks (in the winter!) and there is good parking for 2 cars.
Michael
We had a great time in Southwold made all the better by the great house. Super place to stay.
Deborah
The Saltings is one of the nicest holiday homes we have stayed in. The location was just perfect. The bedroom sizes more or less equal which is always a bonus for 4 adult couples. The view over the marshes was superb.
