6 The Whinlands Reviews

Rosalyn
Lovely property, well equipped excellent location. Booked for a double family birthday celebration we all had an amazing time. Definitely recommend.
Dear Property Owner, We thoroughly enjoyed our week at your wonderful home. We were very lucky with the weather, allowing us to take full advantage of the garden. We watered the pots for you as it has been so dry and the furniture was great. The inside was clean and tidy when we arrived and we hope we left it in a similar state when we left. The joy of having sharp knifes in your kitchen was a great thing. I brought my own, but didnt need to use them. The selection of pots and pans were great. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The location is great for the kids and adults alike. If there was any sort of concern, it is around the broken tap in the bathroom. Still workable but gives a sense of a lack of maintenance, which doesnt seem to exist in any other part of the property. The only other thing is the lack of outside bin space. When you have a house for 8 plus guests for lunch and dinner, I would suggest another wheelie bin. We were looking to rebook, but the price seems to have doubled from this year to next, which seem a little excessive. All in all it was a great week and thank you again for lending us your home. Kindest regards Alexei
Had a lovely stay, excellent location and had everything we needed.
We had a great stay, there are loads of adventures and activities to have fun such as a walk to the beach, a boating lake and loads of good resorts. The house was lovely and very big. Thank you for an amazing stay, we loved it.
Three generations holidayed at 6 Whinlands. Its a quirky cottage that catered well for all ages. The kitchen has everything we needed and the beds were super comfy and for me that is so important. Our only quibble and its a small one was the parking. There were no available spaces when we arrived. We had to unload further down the road and cart everything up to the house. Other than that, Thorpeness is such a stunning location and we were blessed with fantastic weather.
Lovely period house well appointed. Every comfort was there. One small suggestion is to improve the level of lighting over the dining table as we had people studying! It was so nice for all 3 generations of the family to be so well catered for and that none of the bedrooms were a compromise in any way, which we have often found to be an issue in other holiday lets.
Thank you for the great stay at this lovely house. We had a wonderful base for our excursions. The weather didnt stop us! Southwold has something for everyone, nice walks but also great mini golf and arcade for the younger people in the family. We also had a great time at The Suffolk Show. The Suffolk punches are always a winner. Closer to home, the shell on the beach at sunset is beautiful!
