James Cottage Reviews

Raymond
Lovely Cottage, great location.
Mrs Janet
Really well equipped Very comfortable beds and bedding.Nice towels Position is excellent for seafront ,shops and Sole Bay pub, a favourite place for fish and chips every time we stay in Southwold. The iconic lighthouse opposite is worth a visit in season. Parking can be difficult. We moved several times until outside the cottage .This is the same everywhere . Love Southwold! A favourite place .
Janet
Great to be so near the sea and the town for shops and restaurants. Feel itâ??s tight on space if you were 10 adults particularly if weather was bad. We were 6 adults and 2 small children and sitting room could just about cope.
David
Lovely house for a large group which is located in a perfect position in the beautiful town of Southwold - highly recommended.
Christine
This is our second visit to the property and, once again, we really enjoyed our stay. It was comfortable and well equipped for the three generations. A real plus is the close proximity to the beach.
Gerard
Good location
Lesley
The cottage is very cosy and warm & everything has clearly been done to a very high standard. The location is ideal and in the centre of Southwold with plenty of cafes and restaurants. We would thoroughly recommend Coast for evening dining and the Adnams make your own gin experience which was great fun. Only one thing was disappointing - we had a problem with the dishwasher not working and despite leaving messages with the helpline no-one from Original Cottages got back to us to sort it. So whilst we would 100% recommend the property we would have reservations about booking with the company again.
Ruth
The cottage is beautiful and our access issues with the lock failure were sorted swiftly and well by the company
Marian
James Cottage appears to be a small, unassuming property from the street, but looks in this case are definitely deceptive. Even with seven adults, there was ample space for all, and we had a very comfortable few days there. The property has been tastefully refurbished and decorated, the beds were extremely comfortable and the location couldn't be better. We had a few minor niggles that we've passed on to the owners, but we would certainly recommend it and would happily stay there again.
Timothy
The cottage is well equipped We struggled with more than 2 in the kitchen area as it was a galley kitchen and this impeded those white were staying in bedrooms at the back of the property
Nigel
The cottage layout worked for our extended family.and was convenient for all the amenities and beach.
Shirley
Lovely property, great location.
Carolyn
Very well equipped property with lots of super games and toys and equipment for children.
Anna
James Cottage was perfect for our 3- generation family stay. Its location is ideal, with both beach and town amenities very close by. There is ample bedroom accommodation and we found the beds very comfortable. We would happily return on our next visit to Southwold.
Richard
Lovely cottage, beautifully equipped and in a great location - with a cracking pub next door!
Sarah
A really lovely house in a perfect location. Close to the beach, Adnams and the Sole Bay Inn. The layout of the house is unusual but it worked perfectly for grandparents, two couples and their children.
Anne
An excellent place to stay for a holiday with extended family. The living spaces were great for us all to eat and socialise together. The house was clean, beautifully presented and warm on chilly spring evenings. The beach (and Suzieâ??s Café) are less than a minute away and The Sole Bay Inn is 23 steps from the front door.
