The Middle House Reviews

This is a lovely house comfortable and a great location. However, its not cheap and there are a few small issues that would improve it this time there were 5 logs in the basket and an empty firelighter box! Fortunately we brought our own and enough logs so we could light the fire for more than a couple of hours. Its disappointing when the ovens and cooking trays arent clean and irritating when theres a Nespresso machine and one capsule. I wouldnt want to do toast for a full house 8 people with a two slice toaster. A microwave would be helpful and a sensible predictable welcome pack would be nice. Also a bit odd to supply shampoo and conditioner nice and big but no shower gel.

Fantastic property in the heart of Southwold with beautiful views. Really comfortable and wellequipped.
Sandra
Our love of Southwold happened 20 years ago and we started staying in the Swan hotel for a few nights realised was not long enough to explore the area and started to book many cottages over the years. We have stayed in so many at this special place in our hearts which we now share with our family and our beautiful grandchildren hopefully tradition which will follow through the generations . We were lucky this year to have found the middle house which excelled our expectations wow wow wow the photos do not due this amazing home any justice the garden was so enjoyed just lovely and added bonus you can see the sea and warbiseick in the distance it was just a perfect location was so central and a stay will be booked again only point I would like to make is that we do enjoy a family film on an autumns night with the woodburner on and the tv is rather small for the size of the beautiful room perhaps more cups and wine glasses should be considered if a large family are staying thank you so much to the owners for allowing us to have the privilege to stay in their beautiful home the best we have ever stayed in home ps the history of the house was so interesting too xx
Another great stay here. Thanks!
Madeline

Such a beautiful house in everyway! We had a wonderful time here and will be coming back!
A really lovely, comfortable house in an excellent location.
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. It is a wonderful location for visiting Southwold & the wider area and the way the house is set out makes for a very comfortable & easy living.
Fabulous house beautifully furnished thank you we had a lovely stay.
We spent a lovely Christmas here, the house is beautiful and very comfortable to stay in as a family.
Gordon
Lovely house which has been tastefully restored, decorated and furnished. The only issue we had was opening windows the secondary glazing is difficultimpossible on some windows to open.
Thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Quality furnishings and appliances. Perfect location in the centre of Southwold. Easy free parking on the road opposite the house. Only problems were the sash windows in the middle bedroom dont open and no fan was available . The new dishwasher wasnt working and Best of Suffolk sent a maintenance person very promptly but he couldnt fix it whilst we were there. Been coming to Southwold for 50 years and its a firm favourite with all our extended family.
Great house, great stay, great place. Love Southwold.
What a stunning Property! Beautifully furnished, really enjoyed staying here. It made our holiday in beautiful Southwold
Fabulous well located property. Highly recommended.
Ulrich
Spatious house in excellent location in Southwold with very nice garden. Comfortable, modern bath rooms. Kitchen equipment not sufficient for 8 people e.g. not a single bigger pot suitable to cook spaghetti for 8 people. Basement toilet not properly working we phoned up the Sykes team on the second day but no one showed up. Some bedroom and bathroom doors not properly closing, one bedroom window not properly working.
Lovely property.
