Fairhaven Walberswick Reviews

Daniel
Too of the kit in this accommodation is well past its sell by date eg all of the towels The welcome pack remains non-existent The corkscrew is a prototype Three dishwasher tablets supplied--really? No kitchen towels--but a really useful dispenser for them No cooker instructions so a couple of undercooked/burnt dinners All the metal cookware for the oven had to be rewashed as it was dirty Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve our service.
Steve
Our second stay at the spacious, comfortable, well-appointed Fairhaven was just as enjoyable as our first one, though we would have appreciated a modest welcome pack. A problem with upstairs heating was dealt with promptly and efficiently by the Holiday Cottages team. Our only reservation on the property was the poor state of what once must have been an attractive garden â?? ironic as the owner is a garden designer!
Benita
Spacious, clean, read some bad reviews before going but cannot understand why! Property was ideal for 8 friends and 3 dogs on an extended weekend!
Nichola
We loved Fairhaven and had a brilliant time there. Itâ??s such a relaxing house with lots plenty of space for everyone. We had 7 people one weekend and 3 for the rest of the time but it still felt cozy. It is a traditional house as you would expect for an Edwardian property which perfectly matches the Walberwsick vibe. If somebody buys it we hope they will continue to let it out as we will be back!
Charles
This property is For sale and seems neglected.Lovely house in prime location but for a premium price everything should be good. No welcome pack, lot of nettles in garden, both swings have cracked seats, trampoline filthy, garden umbrella broken, dishwasher not working, table tennis table filthy, no spare bin liners etc Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve our service.
Ian
The house is in a great location and has the potential to provide a great holiday. However a lot needs to be done to bring it up to the standard that appears to be shown on the website and what you would therefore expect, the garden in particular being sadly neglected and the overgrown bushes around the front door providing quite a test to get through them. We did have a very enjoyable family holiday as the overall facilities in the house are all you would want but a fair amount of TLC is needed to bring them to the standard they ought to be at. In the garden some of the play equipment should not be used and a lot of weeding is required
Caroline
Fantastic, comfortable house. 3 generations stayed and it was suitable for all.
Alison
Missing the mark. House is good and very clean BUT lots of other problems. Good size garden but overgrown with banks of nettles. Height restriction for shower in family bathroom. No instructions and information pack inadequate. Bring everything with you from pepper to washing tabs. Nothing was here. BBQ was dirty and no way to clean. Such a pity could be great with more care and attention to detail.

Cottage was fantastic. Lots of space and very comfortable. Really well stocked kitchen as well and lovely garden. We are looking to book again for next year, so I guess that shows you what we thought of the accommodation!
Delia
It was absolutely fabulous. My three year old granddaughter ran out into the garden shouting â??This is the best garden ever!â?? A beautiful home that made us feel special but comfortable in our surroundings. Kitchen was Vera well equipped. The duplo and childrenâ??s games went down very well.
Ann
A lovely house for a celebratory family get together, comfortable and welcoming in a beautiful area. Great for cycling, walking and sunset photos on the beach!
Gwen
This is a beautiful house and garden in a lovely setting especially great for families with members of different generations. I look forward to another visit.
Julie
Fairhaven is a beautiful traditional house with a large open garden in a wonderful location in Walberswick. The property was peaceful, comfortable and well equipped. The furnishings may need a little updating and some of the facilities a little upgrade but Fairhaven is a genteel place and Walberswick is absolutely delightful.
Jill
Lovely spacious house and garden for a family group of mixed ages. We were lucky with the weather and were able to use the garden to play games and generally chill. Plenty of parking for 3 cars. Village beautiful and fairly self contained with the Coop, Black Dog deli, and shops on the square. We had dinner out at the Anchor on our last night, nice food but expensive.
Pauline
Lovely house.
