Little Chapter Reviews

What a super holiday property! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Chapter and would happily recommend to future holidaymakers. From start to finish, we felt we couldn't have chosen a more delightful place to stay, offering beautiful accommodation and a well maintained garden. We felt the owner had thought of everything to make our holiday both relaxing and peaceful. Such lovely views, too, and all in the charming village of Walberswick.
This is beautiful home from home. Extremely comfortable, clean and with all the equipment you need. Lovely welcome pack. We visited as a group of friends but equally suitable for family groups. This was our second visit and we will definitely be back next year.
Carolyn
Fantastic house for a family celebration. Great location, beautiful setting, everything we needed for a lovely weekend away.
Maurice
We had a fantastic stay for an 80th birthday with a party of 8 at Litttle Chapter. We made the booking with ease and the accommodation is exceptional. We would highly recommend the house which is spacious comfortable and well designed. No details left unconsidered from the excellent bed linen to the brilliantly thought out bathrooms. The kitchen is large and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The garden is stunning. A Five star and very comfortable stay had by all, we hope to return.
Perfect venue for a weekend away with friends. The house had absolutely everything we needed. So much thought has gone into the decor, kitchen equipment and general comfort. We would highly recommend and hope to return again soon. Thankyou.
A lovely, well appointed house. It suited us very well for a three generation family holiday.
Cynthia
The accommodation was wonderful. Very spacious and in a very lovely part of Suffolk. We have already booked our stay for next year.
Jitendra
The property was perfect very beautiful, clean and modern equipped with everything we wanted. It was 10 of us on a long weekend break, the village is beautiful we enjoyed it, and would use this property again, highly recommend to family and friends. The garden is stunning but shame we couldnt use it due to wet weather, so we would definitely come back in the summer.
Rosalind
We are just back from a week staying in Little Chapter. We are a multigenerational family and the downstairs bedroom, bathroom and sitting room were so comfortable for the grandparents. The rest of the house was so clean and convenient. The location is fantastic and the garden the best we have ever had! We all loved it so much, we are now thinking of booking again for next June! Thank you
A wonderful property, the best we have stayed at. The house felt like it was a home, rather than being impersonal which quite a lot of properties are. Plenty of equipment, sharp knives and large bath towels! The house is well located, only a short drive to Southwold, Aldburgh, Beccles etc. Would heartily recommend this property and if available we hope to book in for next year.
A wonderful stay for a 70th birthday week at Little Chapter with room for all our family. The property was as stunning as it looks and added to a beautiful garden with lovely views over to the church we couldn't have wished for better. Just as importantly, we had a couple of queries during the stay and the customer service was first class. thank you for making a notable week extremely special
A truly beautiful property. Looks brand new! Very well equipped with comfortable beds and fluffy towels. A lovely lawned garden with furniture and parasol. Spacious rooms to allow groups to mix or have some space. Would definitely recommend.
We had a wonderful stay at Little Chapter for a family get together. The house is spacious and the layout well thought out Every room bar one having a separate bathroom and several rooms downstairs which members of the family could use. We loved it and will definitely be back.
Michael
We have been doing this for over 15 years and this property is t he best we have ever been in. Lots to do locally.
Superb, probably the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in.
This property was absolutely great in every way. We could not find fault with anything. Spotlessly clean, plenty of crockery and cutlery, comfortable, great garden. Central for lovely walks to Southwold and Dunwich. We will definitely visit again next year.
Georgina
Had the most delightful family stay Little Chapter is spotlessly clean and super cosy. So much thought has been put into making sure your stay has everything you need. The only item missing was a pizza cutter! Other than that it is very well equipped. The beach is only a short walk away and the surrounding area very quiet and relaxing. Thank you for providing a beautiful base for us to spend quality family time together.
Kathryn
A spacious well equipped holiday home. Beautiful garden, even in winter. Close to walks and the village amenities. Great parking. Very comfortable beds. In a quiet part of the village.
Excellent property generously equipped & maintained. Comprehensive information supplied and many thanks for the Xmas decorations. Suggestion For those of a certain age a grab bar in the downstairs shower would be a good safety aid.
What a beautiful property! We had a fantastic time & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were a group of friends getting together for a 60th Birthday celebration. We could not fault the accommodation. Extremely comfortable beds, bedding etc all to a very high standard. Loved the log fire too. We were able to walk to The Anchor for lunch, great food & atmosphere. We hope to return next year!
Beautiful property, incredibly well equipped, and one of the very best we have ever stayed in. We had a superb long weekend here, and it had everything and more that three generations could want. It offered so much space with the bonus of a lovely garden. Walberswick itself is charming, with great walks, pubs, the beach and of course crabbing for the little ones. We would definitely recommend and would love to return.
Little Chapter is a lovely cottage that is beautifully maintained and well equipped. We stayed in Oct 2024 with a group of friends 5 couples in total 2 well behaved border terriers. All of the bedrooms are spacious and furnished with very comfortable super king size beds or twin zip linked. Four of the bedrooms have an ensuite and the 5th bedroom has use of the main bathroom with its bathtub and shower cubicle there is also a downstairs WC. The open planned kitchendining room with bifold doors leading to the garden was a lovely social space. The kitchen was extremely wellequipped there wasn't anything that we needed that wasn't provided. We also liked the location of the property close to the footpath that leads to Southwold and the offroad parking for 5 vehicles. Both of the pubs The Anchor approx 0.5 miles and the Bell approx 0.7 miles are worth a visit as is the footpath to Southwold then return using the Ferry perhaps having had some yummy fish and chips at the Sole Bay Fish Company on the Harbour and ideally located not far from the Ferry Terminal. We had forgotten a few items but the Walberswick COOP was within in easy distance and had the items we needed. The weather was excellent so all in all a very enjoyable weekend, would definitely recommend Little Chapter and would consider another visit in the future.
We are five couples that have stayed in large country houses each year for the last twenty odd years and this ranks among the best. It is an extremely large and comfortable house. Fully equipped and all the bedrooms were large, comfortable and immaculate bathrooms. The garden was lovely, and excellent dining pubs and amenities within walking distance. We would highly recommend this property.

From walking through the front door to the time we left six days later the word impressive comes to mind. Everything from the bedrooms, ensuites, well equipped kitchen, dining room and extremely comfortable and spacious lounge were superb. There was plenty of hot water, a reliable wifi system , parking for several cars and all within walking distance of a shop, the pub and the beach. What more could we ask for? We did have a slight problem re the unusable kettle but one phone call and a visit from the house keeper partially sorted the problem. The downstairs bedroom with its own lounge was a bonus and ideal for anyone such as myself who finds stairs and banisters difficult. Our thanks go to the owner and the house keeper for maintaining such a high standard, Little Chapter is definitely to be recommended and is probably the best property we have ever stayed in.
We had the most wonderful stay at Little Chapter. The house was very comfortable and practical. Masses of glasses and crockery. So wonderful to have two dishwashers! The beds were super comfortable! would love to know the make. Really good showers. Great outdoor space, which was secure for the dog. We played boules and Kubb. In a great spot in the village, very quiet , yet an easy walk to the harbour or to the bridge for the pedestrian crossing to Southwold. Only recommendations are a couple of larger serving dishes, salad bowl and a large casserole dish. We loved it. Thank you to the owners who have obviously put in much thought into making this house so comfortable and user friendly.
Our family loved our stay at Little Chapter. It has a great location down a quiet lane with lots of lovely walks for the dogs and only a few minutes walk from the Village shop and deli. And only a little further to the pubs and beach. The property itself was one of the best we have ever stayed in. Very clean and tidy upon arrival, and everything in great working condition. The layout was perfect for our family with a great downstairs bedroom with en suite and its own little lounge area. The lounge was huge and very comfortable, with lovely bifold doors out into the garden. The kitchendiner was spacious and also had the bifold doors. The garden was beautifully kept with its colourful plants and shrubs, and very secure for the dogs. Would also recommend Best of Suffolk as we had a couple of queries before the holiday and along with the property owner the questions were answered promptly. Would definitely recommend this property, and would happily return if looking to stay in that area again.
The house is lovely spacious, light, spotless, well presented and very well equipped. There is nothing to criticise. We had an extremely enjoyable time. The only suggestion we could think of was that the provision of a detailed list of what is acceptable in the recycling bin would have been helpful we try to do our bit but everywhere we go is different!
We were a group of 8 adults and 2 dogs and had a wonderful time staying in Little Chapter. The house was spotlessly clean and had all we required. The garden is beautiful and so well looked after, such a quiet area we only heard birdsong. The location is lovely and so many walks around. We enjoyed the 'Walberswick Wander' which took in the bridge and ferry ride to Southwold. I would recommend this property.
Priscilla
What a wonderful holiday cottage, ideal for a group of friends. It is spacious, warm, comfortable, well equipped, spotlessly clean and very well located. The large garden is immaculately kept. The only possible improvement that could be made would be some cushions for the garden furniture. We were blessed with a week of fine weather but would have been happy to spend more time in this lovely holiday home if we had been rained in.
Beautiful well kept house, with everything that you could need. Wonderful garden also beautifully manicured. We felt a bit chilly to start the weather has been so cold but this was sorted without question then we were all lovely and cosy . Thank you We would definitely recommend this property, we have had a lovely hoilday in a fabulous location.
We had a lovely stay at Little Chapter, the house was very spacious and ... A great place to bring family. Excellent accommodation with good facilities.
My wife and I meet annually with a group of old friends for a holiday away together. Little Chapter is by far the finest property we have had the pleasure of staying in. It's spacious, beautifully furnished and equipped, everything in good order, and it was spotlessly clean throughout. The quiet location, with its splendid garden and ample driveway parking made the perfect holiday accommodation.
Kathryn
A beautiful property in a quiet position. Very spacious with comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. We loved the open plan dining and the garden outlook. Large front drive provided good parking for the property. We will hopefully visit again. A bit of a walk to the sea from the house. Shop and pub both nearby.
As depicted by the smiley faces above, the property was superb and was perfect for 5 mature ladies able to have their own room and facilities all of which was a very high standard. Lovely area too. Thank you also for the generous welcome basket. Regards, Jill Hill
Christine
What a delightful stay the family had at Little Chapter. Attention to detail was incredible in all rooms. The layout suited us perfectly. We will be back. I enjoyed my 80th family get together very much.
We all had a wonderful week in Walberswick, even though the weather wasnt very kind. Jasper the Dalmatian enjoyed his long walks on the beach. We had a Halloween party for the children aged 5 and 2 which they thoroughly enjoyed. The house was fabulous and very spacious. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything that was needed. The towels were very luxurious. The wood burner was lovely, the Jet garage didnt stock the correct logs, we got them from Tesco in Saxmundham.
Trevor
Lovely property all finishes were to an extremely high standard. Nicely located with the village and beach nearby. Fantastic and well looked after garden and large drive. Would recommend to anyone.
Excellent accommodation. House was very spacious and comfortable. Kitchen extremely well equipped. All bathrooms ensuite except one which had its own private bathroom so everyone happy. There is a nice big gas bbq in the garden. The Anchor pub an easy walk away had very good food and drink. Rather a long walk to the ferry to cross to Southwold but worth it. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house.
