Saxon House Reviews

Jean
We have been going away as a group of 14 (adults) every December for over 20 years and sadly our stay at Saxton House was not the best and the house itself fell way below what we are accustomed to. It is not suitable for 14 adults, possibly it might suit better 2 families with children where the children are happy to share a double (4 foot) bed as there are no rooms with single beds. Lack of hot water and a blocked kitchen sink added to our woes but it must be said that the young man who came out to attend to these matters was excellent. The whole house needs a complete refurbishment and really the only positive thing in its' favour is the location, which is excellent.
John
Property in excellent position for beach and Pier.
Mary
We enjoyed our third stay at Saxon House. The location and facilities make it an ideal summer holiday home for our extended family.
Sue
Amazing location. The kids loved being 2 minutes from the beach. Large roomy house with a fair size safe back garden and room to park 4 cars at the front. Short walk to the shops and cafes. Well equipped kitchen and lots of room for a party of 14. We had a fantastic week here
Charles
We were a large family group with ages from 4 to 80. Everyone was happy with their stay at Saxon House. The bedrooms were roomy and the beds comfy, lots of rooms and space downstairs. The garden was fine for both young and old.
Maxine
A fantastic house for our annual reunion of university friends - we will probably book for next year. It is clean, bright (obviously freshly decorated), very comfortable and very well equipped. Itâ??s in a great location very close to the pier which is a must for a visit. (Ignore any Google reviews - they are totally inaccurate.)
Emma
Saxon House is a fantastic place to stay if you need a large property for a family gathering. It is in a great location (1 min from the pier) and has the bonus off-street parking for four cars. We love our holidays there and will return,
Sandra
Location is brilliant. Good size rooms.
Amanda
Great location, well equipped and clean house, would return.
Nicola
Spent Christmas here with 11 people. The layout of the house is great, with lots of alternative seating possibilities. Bathrooms are small and in need of upgrading though. And the fridge is too small for a property of this size. However, itâ??s a lovely house in a good location and it was great to have so much parking!
Jenny
Lovely place to stay for a weekend away with a group of friends and somewhere we would consider coming back to in the future.
I P
A very well located property in need of updating, improved maintenance and more comprehensive equipping.
Jackie
Very comfortable house in an excellent position. Well equipped except we thought the fridge was too small for 11 people. Thought a couple of the showers need attention and the pressure was not great.
Susan
Location is fabulous, bedrooms and lounge areas all nice furnished and very comfortable. The only criticism we have is that all bathrooms and kitchen could do with a refurb, this could have been overlooked if the showers were more than a dribble! However we had a superb weekend nonetheless.
Sarah
Saxon House is ideal for a large family holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the extra living rooms where the younger members of our group could enjoy spending time together without the adults. The pier and beach are literally five minutes walk away and it is an easy walk into the town. I'm sure we'll be returning.
Geoffrey
The size of the house, particularly the downstairs rooms was very good for the size of our party. We were very happy with the furnishings. Regarding the next question, we have answered 'YES' subject to attention being given to the above points
Jocelyn
We had a lovely time, and have let VRBO/Suffolk Secrets know separately the few issues we had with lack of instructions/flaws with the windows, shower drainage etc.
Mary
We enjoyed another extended family holiday at Saxon House. We found it to be clean, spacious and well equipped, and appreciated the plentiful supply of hot water.
John
Very good location for a family beach holiday.
Moira
We were a family of 12 so needed a holiday rental with many bedrooms but found the property quite shabby and lacking comfort. The kitchen was small for such a large house and the fridge capacity far too small for our family, the house boasted it catered for 14 guests, bizarrely it had two microwaves and two toasters but a tiny fridge.
Elizabeth
A great property with space for everyone. minutes from the pier & beach. I'd happily go back.
William
Good size for large parties and good location.
Janet
Lovely big family get together house. Brilliant location. Lots of space for everyone.
Oliver
Overall happy with the cottage, perfect location and very comfortable. If the cleaning job was better and a few basic essentials added i would be giving a full 5 star review.
Christine
Fabulous house for large parties to stay, so well equipped. The TV rooms were great, as this kept people happy both ways, to watch telly or just to chat, great idea.
David
The house overall was ok and of course as it was Christmas we had a nice time. It is spacious and well located and the beds are comfortable.
