The Old Hall Farm House Reviews

Claire
Had a brilliant week. The house is original and beautiful. The location is excellent with lots of lovely walks and Southwold very close.
Kim
Great location with the cafe, play park and maize maze next door. House very spacious with a good enclosed private garden.
Martin
A large house for a 3 generational family gathering. Plenty of space inside and out. Everything worked, heating, white goods and blinds.
Kathleen
Apart from the following niggles, we really enjoyed our stay. Somewhere to hang/unpack our clothes would be good (or tell your guests to bring their own wardrobes) :-) Somewhere to put toiletries in bathroom would be useful. Because the house accommodates a large number of guests, a couple of large saucepans would be useful. As would a bread knife and colander. As stated before these were niggles and generally we loved the house.
Catherine
The farmhouse is in a good location and the walks from it are beautiful, so nice to have access. The children loved the Maize maze and playground too. The very small provision of loo rolls and dishwasher tablets was irksome. The lounge was a good size for a large family group, although the coverings and carpet need a clean. The bedrooms were spacious and had lovely views. Altogether a lovely place, just needs a bit more attention.
Graham
The house was well located for Southwold town. It was also pretty well equipped and comfortable . I have to say though that the state of repair in some areas could have been better, particular the back garden area and some aspects of the house. It was, however, a relaxing holiday overall.
Alan
Area good comfort good equipment good need sharper bread knife double beds ok singles okish need wardrobes needed en suite shower thermostat needs attention would recommend if this was put right
Claire
We enjoyed a lovely bank holiday weekend here and enjoyed visiting Southwold. The free access to the play park with the zip wire and bouncy pillows was great and the cafe did some lovely food. The kitchen was well equipped, the lounge was comfortable for our group of 8 and the bedrooms were spacious. The house could do with a refresh in places and there were a couple of maintenance issues. Unfortunately we did have a real problem with ants in the kitchen.
Sharon
Lovely location, loads off things to do in the area, only a short drive to southwold. House is really nice. Mattresses in a few rooms need changing.
Angela
The house was perfect for our large family group of 6 adults, 4 children and 1 very small baby. The accommodation was very comfortable and spacious with a south facing garden and great to have the cafe and play park on our doorstep which was a huge bonus for the children. Also a big bonus to have sufficient parking which in the main town is generally scarce. The walks from the house were well signposted and it was lovely to be able to enjoy the walks to the town and the harbour away from the main road. The setting is peaceful too and perfect for a good night's sleep. We would definitely return to this property and highly recommend for a large family group.
Jayne
Everything you require for a lovely family stay in a beautiful home.
Rob
We had a lovely stay at the cottage with extended family. Very comfortable and spacious! Thank you.
Caroline
We were six friends visiting the house for a couple of days. All of us agreed that the house is spacious, comfortable and well situated. We enjoyed a day exploring Southwold and the beach. All of us agreed that we would like to visit again, for a longer stay; and we would recommend to family and friends. Thank you. C. Harris Hertfordshire.
Neil
Inspite of above comments we found the house a perfect place to celebrate a 70 th birthday with the family We were a family of mixed ages and a great time was had by all. The bedrooms provided plenty of space for our group of 10 with very good bathroom facilities as well. The kitchen and lounge were both great for a large group with lots of equipment provided Would highly recommend the house and lovely location.
Carol
The house is perfect for large families or groups of friends. Lots of seating and a well stocked kitchen.
Bob
The cottage was great for accommodating all of us in lovely bedrooms. All comfortable and kitchen equipment fine. A great place to stay
Pam
Just back from a wonderful stay at Old Hall Farm House. The property was a fantastic base for 3 families with young children. They loved playing in the garden and having access to the Maize Maze for the week was a real bonus. We had lots of wonderful trips out to Southwold, ROARR, Africa Alive and the East Anglia Transport Museum. The house was very clean and comfortable and we would definitely recommend.
Ralph
Overall value for money nice setting and location good. Footpaths could do with mowing along river bank's
Stephen
Well located and well proportioned property. Ideal for large family or groups. Nicely situated next to Southwold Maize and cafe. The property had been cleaned well for our arrival. However it is definitely in need of some freshening up of home furnishings and needs a new mattress and proper wardrobe in the master bedroom. We felt it was more of a 4 star property.
Bev
Excellent house for mixed aged family gatherings. Good location. Use of Play Park and cafe a bonus.
David
The property provided us with the perfect venue to stay, as well as explore the surrounding area. The cafe and play area next to the cottage were a real bonus. Our only complaint is that we felt the arrival and departure times imposed on us were overly restrictive.
Sonia
Beautiful house, warm and well cared for. Perfect for get-togethers. We had a great weekend and would love to return.
Rebecca
Very nice location, plenty of space and well equipped for families. Our stay was over a cold and wet March weekend so it was quite cold, but once we got the log burner going it was nice and cosy downstairs. Nice outside area and plenty of parking.
Kirsty
The cottage was very spacious, great location and lovely welcome box. We really enjoyed our weekend at the property and found some super walks from the doorstep. The cottage was comfortable and clean.
Jenny
This is a great location and cottage had ample space for 9 or 10. On site cafe is excellent
Sue
Lovely, warm, inviting and clean house. Ideal location and parking.
