The Coach House Dunwich Reviews

Juliette
This is a lovely house which is very well equipped. It is literally just by the beach, which is a treat, one morning walk we were the only ones on the beach which was the most amazing experience. The local pub, The Ship, is brilliant, it's just up the road and the Sunday Roast was delicious. There is a wealth of footpaths which meant we didn't need to use the car very much which was great. If you're bringing your dog you need to be aware that the bottom fence isn't secure and we had to use a lead on our dog (he is a busy Spaniel so a steady dog may be ok). I have made the owners aware and hopefully they will be able to get that sorted out as it's the only thing that would prevent us coming back for another holiday.
Gemma
A comfortable, practical home in the most perfect location if you love Dunwich, like we do!
Elizabeth
Lovely cottage in an idyllic spot we were spoilt for choice on our morning walks with woodland, wetland, heath and beach all within 2 minutes of the property. Most importantly if you have dogs the garden is genuinely secure .My spaniel cross is an escape artist and even she couldn't get out which made for a relaxing holiday.
Philip
Lovely cottage, great location overall brilliant
Peter
We all loved this property, location is fantastic, beach 50 metres on one side, lovely friendly pub 50 metres the other. everything you could possibly need is here within the house. quiet , comfortable, my dogs loved it too.
Rosemary
The cottage is very well equipped although we did not locate a coffee machine. Plenty of games, books and other entertainment present. One downside for those with mobility issues the downstairs an suite only has a hand held shower from the taps so one needs to be able to enter and exit a bath. Wildlife very abundant in the garden with nice views over the marsh. Very close to both the beach and local inn. Bedrooms all a good size, comfortable beds and plenty of storage space for clothes. Large, safe garden for those with children.
David
What a fabulous home to stay in this is. Well placed for beach, heath, marshes and the pub. Well furnished, comfortable and well equipped. The huge garden is perfect. We absolutely loved it and hope to stay there again (and again).
Janette
The cottage location and facilities were perfect for our group of 8. Warm, clean and well stocked. Thank you for a great weekend!
Marina
We had a lovely week at the cottage with plenty of great walks. Cosy cottage in super position.
Colin
For anyone looking for a real get-away break, surrounded by lovely countryside but with a beach on the doorstep, this is ideal. The house was warm and inviting with plenty of space for all (and our dogs). The pub nearby is to be recommended too!
Jackie
Stunning! The Coach House is perfect! We enjoyed a week with family and friends celebrating my 60th birthday! The location is stunning; being a short stroll from the beach with longer walks straight from the door. The Coach House is very well equipped with everything we needed and felt like â??home from homeâ?? as soon as we walked in. It felt cosy but also had the potential for us all to have our own space. We enjoyed a very special week away.
R
This has to be our fifth or sixth stay at this lovely house. Perfect for us with three Spaniels and so close to the beach. I'm about to book two more weeks next year. We never tire of it.
Suzanne
Perfect for a holiday with furry friends. Great location next to beach and fantastic walks on the doorstep, dog friendly garden with plenty of room to run around in and comfortable accomodation.
John
Would struggle to recommend to friends unfortunately as does not sleep 8 people comfortably.
Tony
We very much enjoyed the location, space and views offered by the Old Coach House and found it well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our time but there were some issues. The particulars state that the twin beds can be configured as a king sized double and we had requested this but it was not done and the housekeeper refused to come out and rectify it. The high chair was not clean. One burner on the gas hob did not ignite correctly and gave off a strong smell of gas when used.
Alan
Very well provided and managed in a stunning location.
Mark
Lovely location and setting. Great if you want to escape from the hustle snd bustle of life for some rest and relaxation.
Keith
This is a fantastic place to stay. Plenty of room, clean and very comfortable. The garden is very large and totally enclosed, great for dogs (and children I guess). The location couldnâ??t be better. 30 second walk to Dunwich beach in one direction and a 30 second walk in the other direction to the superb Ship Inn. Donâ??t think we could have found a better place to stay. Thank you.
Ruth
This is our fourth of fifth time stay at The Coach House and it was as usual, absolutely lovely, so close to the beach and Dunwich Forest and so plenty of scope for walkers. The cottage allows three dogs so our three very well behaved Springers had a holiday with us. I cant fault it to be honest and would recommend to anyone. Very homely and well furnished. We have already booked our stay in October!
Lois
A lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Wonderful walks from the door and the beach a stones throw away. Comfortable conservatory in which to watch the visiting wildlife. Interior could benefit from being refreshed in places though. A history of the lovely building would be of interest too. Overall a very pleasant place to stay.
Linzi
Dunwich is a wonderful Suffolk village. The Coach House suited our dog family very well and truly is a dog friendly cottage (many holiday cottages say they are, but aren't once you arrive. Enjoyed our stay, thank you.
Richard
The cottage was very warm and comfortable and in a good location for winter walks. Pity that there was no woodburner or open fire but overall a well equipped cottage. It would be a bit cramped for 8 people but for two couples it was just right
